QVGuard Client User Guide

If you have received a QlikView application which has been protected and licensed using QVGuard you will need to do the following two things.

1) Ensure you have the QVGuard Client Installed on your PC.
2) Ensure you have obtained and installed a valid QVGuard licence file from the author of the QlikView Application.

These steps are described below:

1) Get The QVGuard Client

The QVGuard Client is a small, download which you will need to install to run a QVGuard protected QlikView application. You might like to first check that you don't already have this, you can do this by checking in:
Start -> All Programs -> QVGuard -> QVGuard Client

If you do not have this application installed then you can download it here and install it by following the standard installation wizard, the first step of which is illustrated below:

2) Using the QVGuard Client

The author of your QlikView application should have sent you a licence file with a .QVGuard extension. There are two ways in which you can install this licence file.

Method 1 - 'Double Click' Intallation

You should be able to simply double click this file - the QVGuard client should then automatically install this licence file and launch the QVGuard client to confirm its installation.

You can then click the 'Install Licence' button, browse to your .QVGuard file and install the licence.
